This 1936 built mass concrete house in Dundrum Dublin 14 challenged us. Firstly the stove , like so many others, was an unsafe install, as the flue exited the rear, into a 90* bend, with the 5″  flue pipe  partially inserted into the 8″ clay liner without proper or safe adaptor. Secondly the depth of firechamber was only 11″, and it was constructed in mass concrete. Our client wanted the freestanding  stove recessed. Luckily our client located a wooden mantle, with an unusual rebate of 140mm (5.5″), allowing us  the option of  creating  a false front to the  chimney breast, achieving 16.5″. We lined the firechamber with Skamolex fireboard, and tiled the hearth and back panel with our clients yellow tiles. All in keeping with the house era. We installed a 904 grade flexi flue and insulated. If you are uncertain about the safety of your stove installation, contact Nick 0879501001  , Stove & Chimney SOotLUTIONS , ,

We fitted this  combustible distance friendly Henley Arklow 7kw inset stove, complete with 904 grade flexi liner and vermiculite  insulation in Stocking Lane Rathfarnhamn.

These two stoves, previously  installed by some istallation company , a few years back, yielded nothing

only problems and safety issues for the home owners. My team removed both stoves, made new safe and secure connections to 904 grade flexi flues, insulated chimneys and introduced a register plate in the free standing stove.

Totally confident that this family will not know themselves this coming winter.

If you feel you have concerns or issues with your stove installation,  dont hesitate in having it investigated. It can be a major health issue.

This Henley Druid Boiler stove fitted in Rochfortbridge, looks amazing and is performing very well.  As a result of a chimney fire, the householder sought my advice as to what to do. An old fashioned back boiler was removed in addition to a White carrara marble off centre decorative mantlepiece. The chimney was relined using grade 904 flexi flue. The tastefully positioned extended protective hearth really highlights the attractiveness and the need to adhere to combustible distances.
